How to send a WhatsApp Broadcast Campaign on Mteja?

Businesses can send out WhatsApp broadcast messages to their audience in an easy and scalable way on Mteja.

When you send out a message using the broadcast feature, you are running a business-initiated conversation. To be able to send out a broadcast, you first need to create the WhatsApp template, view this guide article for further details on how to do this.

What you should know before you use the WhatsApp Broadcast option

Some of the key details to note when sending a WhatsApp broadcast is that you can initiate conversations with the following number of unique customers in a rolling 24-hour period:

  • 1000 unique customer

  • 10K unique customers

  • 100K unique customers

  • An unlimited number of unique customers

The limit as you start using the service is automatically set at 1000 unique customers and scales automatically based on phone number status, phone number quality rating, and how often the business initiates conversations with unique customers over time.

Steps to create and send out a WhatsApp Broadcast.

1. Select Campaigns and click on the CREATE CAMPAIGN button.

2. Select the WhatsApp channel type.

Provide a name and description of the broadcast, and then click Create.

3. Once the campaign is created, click on view then SEND BROADCAST on the right-hand side.

4. Under the Message step, indicate the number and the message template you would like to use.

5. Under recipients upload your list of recipients' numbers and details needed in the message, this can be done using a CSV file.

6. Click Next, to preview the final message that the recipients will receive the broadcast.

7. Click CREATE to complete the process.


How to view the results of your WhatsApp Broadcast.

1. Under your campaign you will see insights click on the View logs button

2. Click on the VIEW LOGS button to view the statuses to your message

3. Click the EXPORT button to extract and view the response as a report in an Excel file.
