A web dialer or a web phone is a web-based application that allows users to make outbound and receive inbound calls from a browser. 

You can set up your web dialer on Mteja in 5 easy steps:

The web dialler is located at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. Click on the Open Phone button. 

If you are not setting up the web dialler for the first time, click on the settings icon&gt;&gt; 

Then navigate to the advanced settings button &gt;&gt; 

Configure Audio Settings - This is where you get to test your microphone and speaker settings to ensure they are working as expected. 

Click on start to test your microphone input (if you would like to listen to the input, toggle the 'Listen to input' setting. This is optional)

Next, click 'Play Sound' to listen to the output from your speaker.

Configure predefined call custom data and tags to be used during calls. Tags are used to segment calls into groups for context purposes e.g. Sales, Support, etc. while custom data is the data you would collect in order to build a rich customer profile e.g. Name, ID number, Location, etc. (This step is optional)

Echo Test - This test simulates calls between your computer and Mteja and provides an estimate of the voice quality you should expect when using our service. For the most accurate results, run this test while connected to the network that you plan to use for Mteja.

Click on 'Start' to initiate the test and 'end' to end the test.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up your web dialer. Click 'Done' and enjoy making calls on Mteja 😊

Your web dialler is now ready, you will be able to start fielding calls on Mteja
