What is a Knowledge Base?
A knowledge base is a centralised repository that stores information about a product, service, or business operations. It is a self-service tool, enabling customers and employees to quickly find answers to their queries without requiring direct support. Mteja's knowledge base solution is an enterprise knowledge management system powered by AI, which automates question-answering, helping businesses improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
How do I create a knowledge base on the platform?
Upon logging into the dashboard, select your APP,
Click on the AI Expert Button from the menu
When you navigate to the AI Expert Page, you will first land on the Insights page. This page provides an overview of key metrics related to your use of the Knowledge base function.
Select the Knowledge base option from the AI Expert Menu, then click the CREATE NEW button located on the right-hand side of the page.
In the pop up, input a name and a description, then click on the CREATE button.
Once created, you will be directed to a page that tracks the number of documents in the knowledge base. On this page, you can add all relevant documents to the topic.
Before you add documents, you can update the configuration settings of the knowledge base.

Once done, scroll down click on the ADD DOCUMENT button found on the bottom right of the pop-up.
Continue to add multiple documents to the knowledge base to ensure that your knowledge base is robust.
You can add documents regularly to keep them updated. Use the QUERY button to test the responses. The logs for each query are recorded under the Logs section in the AI Expert menu.
